haha...

jack is so funny. i've mentioned before about his typical "night-night" routine. i have 2 funnies to contribute to that. the first is my mom took him to church tonight and there was this lady behind her whose eyes were closed...jack was very intrigued and after a few minutes of staring, said "night-night" about 8 times. if you've never been to a catholic church before, then you should know that it's quiet majority of the time. next funny...jack's night-night routine typically begins at 8, followed by putting him in his nighttime diaper, a book, milk and then it never fails, i tell him it's night-night time and he repeats that word, sucks his thumb and goes to sleep. rarely does he get up. rarely does he decline a book. most often though, he does scream and whine when we tell him it's night-night and while we change his diaper, then he's good to go and we read his book. tonight, chunk asked him if he wanted to read a book. he said no. keep in mind, he sometimes tells us "no" (w/ a thorough head shake...chin touching the left shoulder to chin touching the right shoulder and sometimes the eyes are a little delayed in the shaking) to the park or candy. but i would say 9X out of 10, he wants us to read a book. but tonight was one of those 1 out of 10. so chunk put him to bed. rarely, does he get out of bed but for those few occasions, we have a child proof door handle on the inside of his door. about ten minutes after chunk put him to bed, jack was knocking on his door (keep in mind, he normally BANGS on things), but he was peacefully knocking on the door, saying "miiiiilllkkkk, booooook," miilllkkkkkk, booooooooook.....kinda like...guys, what we're ya'll thinking? did ya really think i was going to bed w/out my milk and book? needless to say, chunk and i got a kick out of it. i did go in there and we read a book and he drank his milk and then went right to sleep. here's some pics of my sleeping angels that i've posted before, but can't help to post again.

and just because i came across this one....it's from the hospital 10/5/09. such sweet brotherly love....that will (yes, i know) only last for a short time.
