Happy Father's Day!!!!

happy father's day to the greatest husband and dad our kids and i could have ever hoped for! chunk LOVES his boys! a lady i work with (who only briefly met chunk) said that she can tell by his pictures that he is a good dad! and really that is an understatement. he will do anything and everything for those boys! he can tickle and make them laugh like no other. when he goes out of town, jack says da-da A LOT! he LOVES his dada. it has been such a pleasure these past 2 years watching him play with his boys. it just brings a smile to my face when he makes jack and jared laugh. he cannot wait to teach them how to play sports. he wants to coach the little league and was estatic the day he found out that it was actually a volunteer job (he thought he would have to "sell" his coaching abilities!). he has taught jack all about the cubs and tigers. jack points at cub t-shirts and pictures and screams "GO CUBS!." chunk has been dying to take jack to a baseball game, a blazers game, ANY game really.....and hopefully soon jack will be able to sit through a game. jack loves xbox. when chunk gets home from work, he usually runs up to his dad and says "xbox, xbox, xbox, xbox, xbox." he just likes to sit in his daddy's lap, drink his milk, and watch his daddy play xbox. and the funniest is when chunk takes a break from his xbox, jack gets in his chair and starts playing it. chunk will then sneak up to jack and scare him and tickle him for playing his xbox. jack LOVES this. this is exactly why he gets in his chair, because he knows his dad willl come "catch" him playing xbox. here are a few reasons why chunk is the greatest dad and husband!

he loves getting his kisses and hugs from his boys. this is a must every night.

he loves reading a book to jack when he puts him to bed.

he has to thoroughly tickle jack and make him "belly laugh" when he's putting jack into his overnight diaper.

he loves to pick jack up, get a kiss from him and then scream "i got a kiss, i got a kiss, i got a kiss" while bouncing up and down, and then jack automatically gives his dad another kiss and the process repeats over and over and over and over again.

he got jack to love "group hugs" where i hold jared, he holds jack and we all four hug each other. jack will initiate that often now.

he gets so excited when he's holding both boys and says "i got both my boys!"

a good phrase to describe chunk is that he "rolls w/ the punches in life." there is hardly anything that can bring that boy down. too little sleep won't effect him, he can sleep when he's dead. whereas i get really moody w/ no sleep. he's just built like that. he's too happy to let little things affect him.

he loves his family and his friends. he's had the same group of friends since 9th grade (when he moved to birmingham).

he even cooked us dinner on father's day (i was cleaning so i asked him too) w/ no serious complaints. however, he will jokingly NEVER let it go. oh well, i'm used to him griping about something, lol!

happy father's day my sweetheart since 10th grade! words cannot express my love, admiration and respect that i have for you! you rock as a husband and father! thank you for all that you do for our family!

  happy father's day also to my wonderful father! another man whom i admire, respect and love! dad, you are always there for me and my family! i could not have asked for a better father or grandfather! you love our boys so much and we really appreciate it! love you!

 

also, happy father's day to carlos! i don't have any current pics, but we are going to visit the sampayo's on wednesday! i'll post some pics next week. thank you (AND JOAN OF COURSE!) for raising such a loving, caring, family man. he is so good to us and we have you to thank. we love you! see you soon!
