"xbox, xbox, xbox!!!!", park, dentist, and chick-fil-a

i'm going to kick my husband's butt! he has ruined jack! my poor mother probably has to hear about xbox ALL DAY LONG! i know i do when i get home. if chunk turns down jack's request to play xbox, then that's making a BIG statement. jack will walk up to you (oh roughly 30x a day), grab your hand, smile at you and start pulling to bring you over to our fireplace. he then holds his arms up (kind of flings them at you) and giggles, basically implying you to pick him up so he can view the xbox games on top of our mantle. this happens again and again and again and i am going to POP da-da for teaching him this! however, on the flip side, it's absolutely precious to see him sitting in his daddy's lap, drinking milk, while his da-da plays xbox.

we went to the moody park the other day and the boys had a blast. jared just loves watching his big brother do stuff. seriously, if jack gives jared the slightest hint of attention, jared will just start giggling. i, on the other hand, can make a big fool of myself trying to get jared to laugh and it's just a hit-or-miss type thing. jack loves throwing rocks in water, jumping, swinging so he always enjoys the park. jared loves drinking water out of his brother's sippy cup and just chilling in the stroller...that is until you stop, then he thinks it's time to get out and there's usually no getting him back in the stroller after that point. jared loves swinging and is so ready to start running around w/ that big brother of his. i can already see the future...jack gets distracted playing when something gets in his shoe or if there's something on his hand. he likes to be clean. jared on the other hand could care less, he's good to go. so jack is like his mommy and will like to take daily showers (and if sweaty enough, sometimes TWICE in one day). jared, on the other hand, will be like his father, who wants to see how long he can torture people by not taking a shower! here are some pics from that day...

jack had his first dentist appointment this week (who knew that you were supposed to see a dentist 6 mths after your 1st tooth comes in!). he did really great! they said most 1st patients cry and you have to hold them down, but he was good! i love the dentist we went to. i'm pretty much sold if you have genuine customer service. they were very informative, aware of his age, interest, hesitancy of a new place, etc. they just simply rocked. a girl i went to high school with had a facebook status that made a joke about how her 6 yr old shouldn't have cavities since she works for a pediatric dentist...i inquired and wal-lah, setup the appt. they had a playroom and a kids video for jack to watch. he's so funny because he likes for things to be in order (hmm...he must get that from his grandpa in missouri!).  so he starts rearranging the playroom to align the chairs. upon realizing they couldn't quite fit the way he wanted them to in the playroom, he felt the need to move the chairs into the adult waiting area. then we they called us back to watch the video, he felt the need to move the chairs from against the wall to directly in front of the tv...see pics from the office. oh yea, and they took a pic of me, jack and the dentist to mail us for his scrapbook! how thoughtful!

go ahead, make yourself at home little buddy...
....got the chairs setup for the movie...
now if only his mama would stop snapping pictures...

the only bad experience he had there was after they put a tatoo on his hand....that's a BIG NO-NO for a clean, precise little guy like himself...i didn't realize they had a put a tatoo on him and he was just whining like crazy when i was setting up his next appointment. he would not let-up and once i finally realized what the deal was, i rubbed it off w/ some hand sanitizer and he was as good as new!

yesterday we went to chick-fil-a and thoroughly enjoyed the indoor, air-conditioned playground vs. the 102 degree playground outside!
and like my brother said...sweet smile, bad photographer...however, i told him i would save that email for when his 2 yr old is running around @ the speed of light. the only good pics you can get are those where they are sleeping :)

he LOVES to steal drinks!
he also was taught a horrible trick from guess who...his father! about spitting liquids out of your mouth....this his "i'm-about-to-spit-this-out-even-though-i-know-better" look...
and more pics...

and to clarify in case anyone was wondering what the term "a bunch of crap" means...it is currently 7:03AM. Ever since Jared started sleeping through the night, I was once again blessed to start sleeping through the night-AND-I do. 99.9% of the time, I don't wake-up...i'm talking close my eyes fall asleep and wake-up to the alarm going off. that's pretty blessed because i know a lot of people who constantly wake-up. Jared has been sleeping through the night since he was 7weeks 6 days old (yes, you count the days) and has maybe had two or three hiccups since then. he's 9 1/2 mths old now. it's been months since he's woke up in the middle of the night. he has started going to bed around 6ish the past few weeks, which means he wakes up around 5:00, 5:15am. the latest he has slept his entire life is about 6:30am. ok, now back to the definition of "bunch of crap"...last night he wakes up at 1:44am. i pick him up, bounce him around for a few minutes, then lay him back down. i lay back in bed and at 4:33am accept the fact that i'm not going back to bed. so i get up. well these two turdnuggests ARE STILL ASLEEP! = BUNCH-OF-CRAP!

of course, all jokes aside, i am beyond thankful and blessed for each day God grants me with my sweet angels. I love you boys (yes, that includes you too chunk).
